Gilpin was able to land a few TV guest roles in the years following until she got her debut break in 2013 by landing an appearance in the show Nurse Jackie. The character of she played Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin appeared on 34 episodes in the show before Nurse Jackie ended its run in June 2015. In the identical year Gilpin made an appearance in the thriller-mystery True Story (2015).
